Leaders Tina and Martin visited Wilmslow 5th Brownies to talk about ‘Giving Nature a Home’.
The girls used props to to demonstrate the many different aspects of The RSPB’s work and had fun identifying some examples of man-made homes for wildlife and matched them with the animals they were designed for.
Brownies created some brilliant bug bungalows for their own gardens using natural and recycled materials they had collected. As the days get colder their bug bungalows will provide overwintering habitats for insects and other tiny invertebrates.
The Brownies ended their last meetin g before the Christmas break with lots of smiles playing the’ Feather game’ that illustrates how positive actions for nature benefit wildlife.
