January 2016: Bosley St Mary’s Primary School

Bosley St Mary’s have been taking part in the Big School’s Birdwatch for many years. The whole school takes part, completing a bird survey of the school grounds.

This year Leaders were very impressed that pupils remembered all of the safety rules for using binoculars from previous birdwatches.

As well as House sparrows, Collared Doves, Blue tits and Great tits children also spotted Dunnocks and Rooks. In total there were 220 Canada Geese grazing on the field.
