Our Big School Birdwatch volunteers headed to Horton St. Michael for a rather misty Big School’s Birdwatch. After a full school assembly where we learned about garden birds and how we count them for our special bird survey volunteers took different classes out into the school grounds to look for birds. Despite the gloomy weather the resident robins were in full song and the blue tits were calling noisily. We even managed to locate a rather handsome jay in the trees after listening to his cackiling call.
