Volunteers were made very welcome by Bosley Bobkins – . We learned about the calls and names of some common birds like blue tit, blackbird, robin and mallard duck and some more unusual ones like a woodpecker and a cuckoo.
Bobkins were very excited to do some bird spotting as part of the Big Schools’ Birdwatch. We all used binoculars to go out on to the veranda and look for birds to count. It was very rainy but we still managed to see some starlings and house sparrows.
